The World’s First Halal Certified SAP for Hygiene Products

SDP Global (Malaysia) SDN BHD (hereinafter referred to as “SDPM”), a consolidated subsidiary of Sanyo Chemical Industries, Ltd. (Head office: Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto City; President: Takao Ando) obtained Halal authentication on January 1, 2019 for the super absorbent polymer (SAP), which is mainly used in various hygiene applications such as disposable diapers. SDPM’s SAP is the first Halal certified products in the world (based on available information)
