PEG-20000P
Outline
Polyethylene Glycols Classified Depending on its Number-Average Molecular Weight
Features
· Compatible with skin/water-soluble & -retainable/non-volatile/free from greasiness.
· Low acute toxicity/low irritancy to eyes & skins.
· This roduct and its aqueous solutions show excellent lubricity.
<Pharmaceutical Applications>
· Pharmacehtical grade is different as a trade name of MACROGOL that conforms to Japanese Pharmacopoeia.
<Cosmetics & Toiletries>
· Base material for the use of hair-care/skin-care.
· Water-soluble bases which have low acute toxicity and low irritation to the skins and eyes.
· Moisturizing agents/moistening agents/solvents. Has binder effects and effective as the binding agent for powder cosmetic.
· Used as foam stabilizing agents for shampoos and face washes and capable of refreshingly washing up.
· Used for various purposes that take advantage of its features, such as prevention of blocking of powder detergents and prevention of reattachment contamination.
<Resins>
· Resin Modifiers - Imparts flexibility and hydrophilic properties to polyester, polyurethane and alkyd resins when it modifies the resins by using its primary hydroxyl groups at both ends of its molecule.
<Agrichemicals>
· Auxiliaries - Effective in controlling fluidity and anticaking for powdery preparations and flowable agrichemicals.
<Chemical Products>
· Surfactants-Various surfactants can be synthesized through reactions of the primary hydroxyl groups at both ends of the PEG molecule. Among them, the higher fatty acid esters of PEG products are surfactants that are widely used as emulsifiers, dispersants and detergents.
· Other Chemical Materials-The primary hydroxyl groups at both ends of the PEG molecule can be chemically changed to other groups (alkyl-etherified, aminated, carboxylated, glycidyl etherified, or esterified). These PEG derivatives can be used as raw materials for various chemical products.
<Others>
· Heat Reservoirs - Applicable as heat reservoirs due to its high fusion heat.
