Release of Diagnostic Regents for Cardiac Markers (NT-pro BNP and Troponin T) for Exclusive Use on an Automated Microchip Electrophoresis System that Minimizes Sample Volume and Enables Rapid Determination

  • 2013/10/22 Announcements

Sanyo Chemical Industries, Ltd., launched the sale of testing reagents for exclusive use on the µTAS Wako i30 (Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd.), an automated fluorescence immunoassay system that determines levels of the cardiac markers NT-pro BNP and Troponin T. The testing reagents were jointly developed with Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd.We are licensed to receive raw materials from F. Hoffmann-La Roche, Ltd. (Switzerland), for NT-pro BNP, a heart failure marker. For Troponin T, a myocardial infarction marker, we receive raw material supply from Roche. NT-pro BNP samples are said to be more stable than other cardiac markers and Troponin T is said to have superior myocardial specificity. We have developed and sold reagents for exclusive use on an automated chemiluminescent enzyme immunoassay system for large-volume processing in combination with our proprietary chemiluminescent enzyme immunoassay technology. And both have been well received in the market.
The µTAS Cardio NT-proBNP and µTAS Cardio Troponin T described here are subjected to an electrophoretic method using a microchip as the determination principle, which enables sample volume minimization and rapid determination.
In addition to the conventional system for large-volume processing, we applied these clinical heart disease testing reagents to the rapid determination system to enable the processing of fewer samples. As a result, now we have covered all of the automated clinical testing systems.
