Development of Permanent Antistatic Agents PELECTRON LMP-FS used in molding films and sheets; Useful in Various Fields Including for Accident and Explosion Prevention, etc

Sanyo Chemical Industries, Ltd. developed permanent antistatic agents PELECTRON products that impart long-lasting antistatic property to applied plastics. We have added PELECTRON LMP-FS that is applicable for films and sheets which need low mold temperature (130 °C or lower).
Antistatic properties are also needed in films composed mostly of polyethylene resins: the surface protection films for liquid crystal, various packaging materials and inner bag of flexible containers* requiring measures for accident and explosion prevention. Permanent antistatic agents were desired to respond to these needs.
The melting temperature of the new product PELECTRON LMP-FS is about 115 °C and it’s about 20 °C lower than conventional PELECTRON products.
It can form a streaky conductive circuit effectively even in molding films and sheets which need low mold temperature (130 °C or lower). And it lowers surface resistivity value of the applied resins to 1010 Ω or lower.
Therefore, PELECTRON LMP-FS is more applicable for the surface protection films for liquid crystal, various packaging materials and uses requiring measures for accident and explosion prevention.
