Sanyo Chemical Industries, Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has issued the “Sanyo Chemical Group Integrated Report 2022” as a communication tool for its stakeholders, and posted this report on its website.
Sanyo Chemical Group aims to enhance its economic and social value through co-creation with its stakeholders, and to achieve sustainable growth in the future. In response to growing interest in the integration of financial and non-financial information, our Group has made this report for the first time this year to provide stakeholders with an easy-to-understand explanation of our Group’s vision to “Grow into a global, unique, and highly profitable company where every employee feels pride and satisfaction in his/ her work” and our efforts to implement this vision. This report helps our stakeholders to deepen understanding of our Group.
In 2022, the Sanyo Chemical Group established the “Management Policy Toward the 2030 Vision,” the “Basic Policy on Sustainability,” and identified the “Material issues.” The Sanyo Chemical Group Integrated Report 2022 comprehensively describes our vision for 2030 and our efforts to create value, while also providing a “Message from the President” and a ” Spirited Discussion Meeting of Outside Directors ” to promote stakeholders’ understanding of our governance initiatives and recognition of issues.
Our Group will strive to contribute to a sustainable society and enhance corporate value while valuing the communication with our stakeholders.
◆Outline of “Sanyo Chemical Group Integrated Report 2022
This report consists of three parts: “Profile,” “Strategy,” and “Foundation.
(1) Profile: Introduces the management identity and current state of our Group
The “Profile” section introduces the management philosophy that we are working toward our vision 2030, as well as our history and financial and non-financial highlights of our group.
(2) Strategy: Introducing Strategies for Sustainable Growth
The “Strategy” section focuses on “material issues,” which we have identified as important issues that will have a significant impact on value creation over the medium to long term, and our efforts to resolve these issues. The “Message from the President” introduces the thoughts of the management team and the activities of existing and new businesses to help our stakeholders deepen their understanding of our Group as it moves toward an WakuWaku* future.
*WakuWaku” is the Japanese word which express positive, bright, uplifting feeling inspired by inner motivations and/or own wills.
(3) Foundations: Introducing the Strengthening Management Foundations and Governance
In the Foundations section, we introduce our efforts to protect the global environment, which is a prerequisite for corporate activities, and to improve employees’ job satisfaction, which is the foundation of our management. In the Governance section, in addition to risk management and compliance management and systems, it also contains a spirited discussion meeting of outside directors in order to provide an insight into the challenges and “uniqueness” of our Group.
