Regarding the process of becoming a stock listed company.

When did Sanyo Chemical first become listed?
In May 1968, the company was listed on the second section of the Osaka Securities Exchange and the Kyoto Stock Exchange, In October 1973, it was listed on the second section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Following that, in September 1978 it was listed in the first section of both the Tokyo and Osaka exchanges.
The Kyoto Stock Exchange was abolished at the end of February 2001, and the Osaka Securities Exchange was integrated into the Tokyo Stock Exchange in July 2013.

When was the company established?
The company was established on November 1, 1949, as Sanyo Oil & Fat Industrial Co., Ltd., It later changed its name to the current Sanyo Chemical Industries, Ltd. in June 1963.

What is the origin of the company name “SANYO”?
Our predecessor company was Sanyo Oil & Fat Co., Ltd., founded in March 1943 with investment from Mitsui & Co., Ltd. and Toyo Rayon Co., Ltd. (now Toray Industries, Inc.). The name “Sanyo” was derived by combining “San” (三) from Mitsui and “Yo” (洋) from Toyo Rayon. The company subsequently inherited this name and was launched as Sanyo Oil & Fat Industrial Co., Ltd.,
